Join It is committed to ensuring the security and privacy of its users, and we are excited to announce the addition of a new feature: 2-factor authentication (2FA).

With 2FA, we've added an extra layer of security to user accounts, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access. By enabling 2FA, our customers can enjoy peace of mind, knowing that their information and membership data are safeguarded from potential breaches.

How to Set up 2-Factor Authentication

First, make sure you have your favorite Authentication app downloaded on your phone. Personally, we recommend Google's Authenticator:

To take advantage of this powerful security feature, enable 2FA on your Join It account by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Security part of your User Account: https://app.joinit.com/account/security

  2. Click on the button to 'Enable 2-Factor'

  3. Scan the QR code using your Authenticator App

  4. Submit the Code that's generated by the newly added 'Join It' in your Authenticator app

  5. Done! Congrats, you've now secured your account with 2-factor Authentication! πŸ”’

Frequently Asked Questions

If I enable 2-factor Authentication will it turn it on for my Members as well?

Nope! All accounts independently choose whether they want it applied to their account/login.

Once added, can I remove 2-factor Authentication?

Yep! Once added, if you later decide that you want to remove 2-Factor Authentication - this can be done within the 'Security' section of your account: https://app.joinit.com/account/security

Of course, you must already be authenticated and logged in to remove 2-factor Authentication. You can not remove 2-factor Authentication without logging in - and admins at Join It won't be able to do this on your behalf.
