Summary

Each Membership within your Member Database has it's own Membership Record. This Membership Record is the 'home' for managing your membership and it's billing settings. From the Membership Record you can:

  • Cancel a Membership's auto rebilling (explained in detail below)

  • Update a Membership's auto rebilling date

  • Set a date for a Membership's auto-rebilling to cancel

  • Indefinitely pause a Membership's auto-rebilling

  • Apply a 'credit' to a Membership's account

Below, this article goes over "How to cancel a Membership's auto rebilling."

Steps to Cancel Automatic Rebilling

  1. Navigate to the Membership Record

  2. On the right-hand column, click on 'View Billing Options'

  3. Click on the button under that title 'Stop Auto-Rebilling Now' that says 'Cancel Re-billing'

  4. Done!

Once you've canceled your automatic rebilling, your Membership record will be updated - so that the period that they have already paid through will be used as the 'Expiration Date'. For example, if my Membership was due to rebill on August 1st, that means my new 'Expiration Date' becomes August 1st - because that was the period that I was paid through.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Membership immediate be 'canceled' if I stop auto-rebilling?

Nope! If you cancel the automatic rebilling using the steps above, then the Membership will continue to be 'Active'. Once the automatic rebilling has been canceled, the system will set a new 'Expiration Date' for the Membership that's equal to the final date of their current period. So if a Membership was set to rebill on August 1st, then their new Expiration Date becomes August 1st.
