Details

To provide more in-depth information on what's been released and what's around the corner, we've broken down the improvements into more digestible components.

Improved Organization Information and Details

In many cases, the Members Portal could be the first impression that an Organization makes on a potential member, or it might be the first re-introduction in quite a long time!, so we've improved the way that your Organization's information and details are presented.

Some of these improvements include:

  • Larger header image

  • Increased prominence of "Member Log In" button

  • Less feeling of a "profile" and more feeling of a "website"

  • Updated the "twitter" (RIP) logo with the new "X" branding

Improved Display of Membership Types

Another way that we're improving the Member Portal is the display of the Membership Types.

During our initial design and research phase, we considered:

  • The distribution of the number of Membership Types per Organization

  • Browsing behavior of prospective members

  • Information density and the ability to scan quickly

Below, we've included a mock up of a test organization - to give you an idea of the changes that are coming to the display of Membership Types.

Improved Listing of Posts

Another improvement to the Member Portal was applied to how your Organization is able to create and display Posts within the Member Portal.

  • Improve the listings of posts on mobile devices and tablets

Improved Listing of Events

Another improvement to the Member Portal was applied to how your Organizations' upcoming list of events are displayed.

  • Allow you to add a short description to events

  • Add a more modern aesthetic to your list of events

  • Improve the listing of events on mobile devices and tablets

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have early access?

We're rolling out these big improvements as soon as they're tested and ready to go! So we're not providing early-access to any organizations in this case.

In the future, there will be opportunities to get early access to features. But we made the decision to deliver this faster, so that everyone benefited from the rollout, rather than a slower staged rollout.

Can I choose to opt-out?

No, there's no way to opt-out of these changes. Since these changes are meeting feature parity with the legacy Member Portals, we made the decision to do a one-way roll out - this allowed us to deliver the benefits quicker, so that we can get this in front of our customers and move on to other high-impact projects.

Of course, if you're not satisfied with the new Member Portals - then we'd love to hear your feedback, so that we can get it addressed!
