Can I Un-pause Membership Payments?

Certainly! Yep! Whenever your Organization is ready to resume normal operations, you can un-pause your Membership payments here.

Will Members Still Receive Emails/Invoices for Their Payments?

โ€‹To avoid reminder emails during the pause, remember to temporarily disable automated renewal reminder emails. You can manage this setting here.

Can I View Membership Payments that weren't collected?

Yes! Membership payments that were not automatically collected will still have a respective 'invoice' created in your Stripe account, however, this will be set to a 'draft' status and won't be automatically collected. See screenshot below:

Can I Collect Unpaid or Partial Payments Retroactively?

Absolutely! Within Join It, you can view unpaid membership payments and choose to collect them later. Additionally, you can apply discounts or collect pro-rated amounts through Stripe.

How Does This Affect My Stripe Account?

If you only use your Stripe account to connect to Join It, then you're all set and don't need to worry about the additional details. However, if you use your connected Stripe account to collect additional payments outside of Join It, then we can provide some additional details!

Within your Stripe accounts, Membership payments are collected by 'Subscriptions' in Stripe. A 'Subscription' in Stripe creates respective invoices that are automatically paid. This functionality for pausing Membership payments will stop the automatic payment of these invoices for as long as the 'pause' is activated.

So, if you use 'Subscriptions' within Stripe outside of Join It, then there's a risk that these will also be paused.
