Summary
At Join It, we're committed to privacy and data security. This includes providing simple yet secure processes for both organization and account deletion, ensuring final and irreversible deletion of related data from our platform.
When you choose to delete an organization:
The organization is permanently removed from the Join It platform.
There are no related records or data about the organization that remains publicly accessible after this action is completed. In some cases, data might be retained internally by Join It when required by law (e.g. when we've collected revenue from a customer, we must have a record of that customer's location - so that we can calculate and remit taxes).
We encourage folks to sign up by making it easy for them. However, if we're not the right fit; or an organization was just created for testing; or it's just time to transition - then we are committed to making it easy to remove your data from our platform.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 100% of the information that's related to my Organization removed?
When an Organization is deleted from Join It, we irrevocably remove the Organization from our platform and remove PII (Personally Identifiable Information). However, we are required by law to retain some information about our customers. For example, we have to retain information on revenue collected, the location of that customer that generated the revenue, so that we can calculate and remit the appropriate taxes.
What Organization Admin permission is required to delete an Organization?
In order to remove your Organization from Join It, you must have the 'owner' permission on the Organization. If you created the Organization, then you're the 'owner' by default.
When you're taken to the following page, you'll be asked to repeat the name of the Organization and "DELETE" -- finishing these prompts will permanently remove your Organization and all related data.
