One of our popular features are Groups, which is a setting on the Membership Types that enables Group Registration. This article explores the various tools available for Organization Admins to manage Groups effectively.

What is a Group?
Within Join It, a 'Group' is an association between multiple Memberships. When viewing a Membership record, you can see whether the Membership is associated with a Group.
How to Navigate to a Group
To access a Group’s page:
Find a Membership associated with the Group.
Click “Member of a Group” at the top of the Membership record or “Group Info” at the bottom

Group Management Tools
Join It offers a variety of tools to help admins manage Groups efficiently. These include:
Update Group Name
Bulk Update Statuses (for all Memberships in the Group)
Bulk Update Expiration Dates (for all Memberships in the Group)
Update Group Membership Type
Delete a Group Member
Add a New Membership
Add an Existing Membership

Update Name of Group
Navigate to the Groups page (see above for directions).
Click "Update Group Name."

Bulk Updating Members Statuses
To update the status of all Members in a Group:
Go to the Group’s page (see directions above).
Click "Update Status of All Group Members."
Select the new status (e.g., Expired, Cancelled).
Choose whether to send an automated email notifying the Members.
Click "Update Status."

Bulk Update Expiration Dates
To update expiration dates for all members in a Group:
Go to the Group’s page.
Click "Update Status of All Group Members."
Select "Bulk Update Expiration Dates for Group."
If needed, adjust the status (or leave it unchanged).
Enter the new expiration date and click "Update Status."

Updating Group Membership Type
To update the Membership Type for a Group:
Go to the Group’s page.
Click "Update Group Membership Type."
Select the new Membership Type.
Click "Update Membership Type."

Deleting a Group Member
To remove a Member from a Group:
Go to the Group’s page.
Click "Delete" next to the member's name.
Confirm the deletion in the pop-up window.
You can also delete the entire Group from this page.
