Summary

Organizations have the option to set up Digital Membership Cards, so that members receive a card attached to their Membership Confirmations.

These Digital Membership Cards are compatible with all Apple's iOS devices (iPhones and iPads) and Google Wallet on Android devices.

iPhones (other iOS Devices)

On your iPhone, adding a Digital Membership Card is simple -- as it natively integrates with Apple's Wallet app.

When viewing your Membership Confirmation within your preferred email client (such as Gmail, Outlook, Mail app), you can click on the Membership Card attachment.

Once you click on the file in your iOS device, the card will open and you can use the 'Add' button to include the Membership Card in your Wallet app.

Android Devices

Google Wallet Support

As of October 2023, we're proud to support a native integration with Google Wallet for our Digital Membership Cards.

As we roll this out, the option for a member to use Google Wallet will only be available via the triggered email that's specifically for downloading a Digital Membership Cards. This can be sent throw 2 methods:

  • An org admin using the 'Send Card' button on a Membership Record

  • An member logging into the Members Portal and using the 'Send Card' button

We're working hard to roll this out to all card experiences (e.g. Membership Confirmations), and we hope to have this updated soon!

In the meantime, Membership Confirmations will continue to support the existing Digital Membership Card approach that's described below.

3rd Party App

NOTE: In October 2023, we've rolled out native support for Google Wallet. There are some experiences that we're still updating (e.g. Membership Confirmations) - so we'll continue to keep this information available for using a 3rd party application. But we look forward to rolling out support for Google Wallet across every touch point as soon as possible.

On your Android smartphone, adding a Digital Membership Card from Membership Confirmations requires an app that supports Passes. Many members will already have an app for Boarding Passes, Concert Tickets, or Loyalty Cards -- but if you don't currently have a Passes app, then we recommend downloading this one (link to Google Play store).

When viewing your Membership Confirmation within your preferred email client (such as Gmail, Outlook, Mail app), you can click on the Membership Card attachment and you'll be asked which app you want to use for the Digital Membership Card. Select your preferred app for Passes, and you're good to go!
