Join It automates key parts of your membership life cycle - saving organizations hours of manual work every month.
One of these automated actions occurs when a member renews their membership through the member portal. When this event happens, Join It automatically sends a Membership Confirmation (Type B) email, also known as the Renewal Confirmation.
(Note: There’s a separate email, Membership Confirmation (Type A), which is sent when a member first joins your organization. You can customize each email type independently to match the member’s stage in their journey.)
Details of Membership Confirmation (Type B)
Membership Confirmation (Type B) emails are automatically sent once a member renews their membership with your Organization.
Features of Membership Confirmation (Type B)
Customizable message (can be set by Membership Type): Many organizations will include custom messages in the Membership Confirmation to deliver members-only information immediately after sign up.
Admin Notifications: In the Communications tab, organizations can adjust which admins are included on BCC of this type of message.
Optionally Turn Off: Additionally, there's the option to turn off the Membership Confirmation (Type A) emails. This could be helpful if you want to send these emails out manually or through another connected system.
Where Can I Edit the Membership Confirmation (Type B)?
You can easily customize this automated email within your Admin Dashboard:
Go to the Communications tab.
Click Automated Emails.
Find Membership Confirmation (Type B) and click View and Edit Details.
From there, click Edit Email to customize the subject line, message content, and design to match your organization’s voice.
Note: You can also set different confirmation messages for each Membership Type if you want to tailor messaging for specific groups.
