Summary

As a membership platform, Join It supports organizations by automating the membership life cycle. These automated emails often save customers hundreds of hours each month, and they can be triggered by a variety of membership events.

One of these events occurs when a membership is canceled. When this happens, Join It automatically sends an Inactive Notice (Type B), often referred to as a membership cancellation notice.

As a note, there is a separate email Inactive Notice (Type A) which is triggered when a membership expires rather than being explicitly canceled. Since members who expire are more likely to renew than those who cancel, these two email types can be customized independently to deliver the right message to each group.

Details of Inactive Notices (Type B)

Inactive Notices (Type B) are delivered automatically when a membership is canceled.

If the member decides to renew, clicking the Renew Membership button takes them directly to their renewal form with their existing information pre-filled for quick confirmation.

Features of Inactive Notices (Type B) Emails

  • Call to Action with a unique renewal link: Each notice includes a personalized link that makes it easy for canceled members to restart their membership.

  • Customizable message per Membership Type: Organizations can tailor the content of these notices to reflect their tone, branding, or specific messaging for different membership types.

  • Admin notifications: Within the Communications tab, organizations can select which admins should be BCC’d on these messages.
