Summary
Join It helps automate your membership life-cycle, saving organizations hundreds of hours every month. Automated emails can be triggered at key membership events, keeping members informed and reducing administrative work.
One of the most valuable features of Join It’s automation is recurring payments. When members are billed automatically, you can configure an email reminder to be sent ahead of the next charge. These notifications are called Renewal Reminders (Type B).
As an aside, there's a separate email called Renewal Reminders (Type A) which is triggered ahead of an expiration, when the member must manually renew their membership (no automatic payment) - these emails serve different purposes and can be customized separately.
Details of Renewal Reminder (Type B)
Renewal Reminders (Type B) are automated emails sent ahead of a scheduled recurring payment. These reminders help ensure transparency for your members and reduce surprise charges.
Features of Renewal Reminder (Type B) emails
Customizable Message (by Membership Type): Personalize your reminder with specific messaging for each membership type.
Admin notifications: In the Communications tab, choose which admins should receive a BCC copy of these reminders.
Flexible timing: Select how many days in advance the reminder should be sent (options include 3, 7, 15, 30, or 45 days before the automatic rebill).
How to Setup Renewal Reminder (Type B) emails
The emails for Renewal Reminders (Type B) are triggered ahead of a recurring payment. Because the recurring payment schedule is managed by your connected Stripe account, these emails will be 'triggered' by listening for an 'event' in your connected Stripe account.
