Summary
At Join It, we're always concerned with assisting our Organizations in growing their membership. This support comes in many different facets, which includes and smooth UX on checkout pages that leads to a high conversion rate of prospective members.
One of the ways that we support high conversion rates is through the introduction of additional payment methods on mobile, like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
How to Enable Apple Pay and Google Pay
To enable Apple Pay and Google Pay as options during membership checkout, you need to adjust the settings from within your own Stripe Account; so you need to be an administrator.
Task #1: Follow these steps to activate Apple Pay and Google Pay:
Once logged into your Stripe Dashboard, click on the 'gear' icon in the upper right hand corner. This will take you to the Settings page.
Once on Settings, select the 'Payments' section, which includes 'payment methods' within the description.
Using the tabbed navigation at the top, select the 'Payment Methods' tab.
Once you're viewing the Payment Methods configurations, choose the 'Default' (if available) or 'Billing Payments' option (if 'Default' is unavailable).
Once you're viewing the 'Payment Methods' > 'Billing Payments' option, then you'll see the option to enable 'Apple Pay' and Google Pay'. Click on the respective 'Turn On' buttons, and you're all set!
Task #3: For the second task, you need to add our domains to your "Payment method domains"
Within the same 'Payment Methods' section, there should be a tab that you can select which says 'Payment Method Domains'
Once you're viewing the 'Payment Method Domains', click the button that says '+ Add a new domain'
Add the following domain: joinit.com
Then click the same button, and add the following domain: app.joinit.com
You need to add both of these domains "joinit.com" and "app.joinit.com" in order for Apple Pay and Google Pay to work
You're all set!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't Apple Pay being displayed as an option?
Even once you've correctly set up Apple Pay and it's enabled on your account, Apple Pay is only shown when certain conditions are met. For example, if you're on the checkout form using an iPhone, the Safari web browser, and have up-to-date iOS - then Apple Pay should be shown. However, if you're on the checkout form using an Android device and the Chrome web browser - then Apple Pay will not be shown. This decision isn't within control of Join It, it's the decision of these platforms (Google vs Apple) and their sometimes competitive nature.
